Situated next to York Station the National Railway Museum is home to over 300 years of history and over a million interesting objects. Step back in time through the industrial revolution and the invention of the steam train. Pupils can learn about the historic role of our railways, and even view the Royal carriages used by Queen Victoria and King Edward VII!! The National Railway Museum offers self guided tours and curriculum linked workshops and focus on science and engineering. All workshops are suitable for Key Stage 1 – 3.
